Expovorm International participates in the take-back program roll vinyl for sustainable design

Behind the scenes, the JMT Floorcoverings team is working sustainable floor covering options for optimal stand design. The new collection of roll vinyl with textile backing was a milestone: plenty of design choice and the roll can be quickly laid on double-sided tape, so the underlay is spared. We are taking the next step with the participation of Expovorm International in Almelo in the vinyl take-back program of JMT Floorcoverings, in collaboration with Unilin Recover.

Transport of full big bags

A big bag holder is now ‘shining’ in the spacious warehouse of Expovorm. The holder with handy ratchet heads was loaned by JMT Floorcoverings for the start-up. Of course, big bags with waterproof liner are also supplied with Expovorm; In this way, the Classic and Wtex/Btex roll vinyl can be collected separately, glue-free, clean and dry. The full big bags are then transported to the warehouses of JMT Floorcoverings in Dinteloord.

Durability meets versatile vinyl design

JMT Floorcoverings stores the full big bags of all national participants: these big bags are then recycled per full trailer load into new raw material by Unilin Recover. A wonderful chain collaboration for sustainability combined with the versatile vinyl design!

In addition, Expovorm International has a first: in collaboration with Forbo Flooring, JMT Floorcoverings provides returns of glue-free LVT/PVC floors to Forbo’s recycling plant in Coevorden. Forbo sends its own big bag, which also fits in the JMT Floorcoverings big bag holder. Expovorm is the first to be registered, the clean-up and collection is in full swing at Expovorm!

The full big bag for this return material is collected directly by Forbo itself, for which a fee is charged. Forbo Flooring takes care of the entire logistics, JMT Floorcoverings takes care of the registration and administration of the participant at Forbo.
